EDM Info Pack February 2020

Below are some ideas to help get you started on your February 2020 EDM. Giant Australia have nominated the major content piece(s) for the month (if there is more than one, you need to choose the one you want to run with). You then only need to nominate a minor content piece (which can include your own ideas) to finish off your EDM. We will organise everything else for you.
Major content

Footwear sale

Giant Australia are running a 20% off footwear sale until the end of next week (14/2/20) – which could be a great promotion to get customers into your store, or upsell walk-in customers on some new kicks! This promotion is completely optional, but might be a great way to draw some customers in and get them spending. Also, even though GA stops its promotion on the 14th, you can run it for as long as you like! There are some great assets here and a helpful playbook to support you here (it is highly recommended you read this before starting your campaign).

Tubeless feature (later in the month)

GA will be rolling out a special EDM later in the month focusing on tubeless technology and associated Giant/Liv products. While we don’t have all the details yet, we can confirm it will be going out in the last week of Feb (so your EDM will also go out that week). If you think your audience might like to learn more about the Giant tubeless range, and/or the advantages of riding tubeless, this might be the major for you!

Store sale – continued from January

If you want to continue your store sale from January into February, or get one started in Feb, we can help with that. We have a set of creative (including social, digital and print assets here) that is ready to go with your custom sale message/offer.


Minor content

Footwear sale, tubeless feature or store sale

You can double-dip here if you like – selecting another one of the major options as your minor. This is an easy way to feature two major pieces of content in one email to get your audience excited.

CCC at the TDU

A feel-good piece about Joey Rosskopf winning the KOM jersey at Tour Down Under. This piece will link to the relevant news piece on your site.

Reign wins innovation award

A link to your store version of this article – a positive press piece for the Reign Advanced Pro 29 0. If you have a strong MTB community, this might be a great conversation starter?

2020 training tips

Something for your TT and tri customers, an informative article from Giant UK (you can check it out here). It may be the perfect piece if you have a strong focus on training/performance (through clubs, coaches, etc. you are connected with) – or, alternatively, it might help you start to connect with these communities.

PXL KNT (from January)

If you have stock of the limited edition PXL KNT kit, you may wish to promote this again (or for the first time). Remember, there are also social assets available here.

Your own idea

This is your opportunity to inject your own unique store DNA into your EDM. You could focus on a store special, local ride, new accessory brand – or anything else for that matter! This is a great way to share localized content with your community.

Once you have made your selection, please contact us using this link (or reply to the email you clicked off) and let us know. Remember to choose one of the three major content options provided above, and then your own selection for your minor piece of content. If you would like to run with your own idea for your minor content, please provide a little more detail on what you had in mind, so we can start designing it for you.

Note: You will be required to approve the EDM design and final campaign (provided as a test EDM) before your campaign can be sent.
