GSN Info Pack May 2021

Below are some ideas to help get you started on your May 2021 content planning. Currently available content is listed below (if you would something specific for your store, you can request it for GA to review and approve). For EDMs, you only need to nominate your 1x major and 1x minor content selection(s) to finish off your EDM. We will organise everything else for you.

Major content

Giant Staple kit launch

Giant Australia will shortly be launching a new range of mid-level cycling apparel, called the Giant Staple collection. This will be available both in-store and online (via Click & Collect). Content will be available for the EDM program, as well as social media assets, and web banners. NOTE – no assets will be released (and no EDMs sent) until this program is officially launched.

Giant/Zwift ‘Crit Crusher’ series

The Giant/Zwift Crit Crusher series returns for a second year, with more races in multiple time zones. This content is available for the EDM program, as well as social media assets, and web banners. You can read more here (Giant) and here (Liv). You can also check out the national EDM and the launch video.

‘Rediscover Cycling’ sport category promotion

The Rediscover Cycling campaign is now live, targetting the sport/recreation category. This will be music to the ears of stores who have been waiting for more promotional material in this market. There are EDM content options (scroll down), social media assets, and web banners available.

Helmet crash replacement program

The crash replacement program is live for helmets (across the Giant and Liv range). This content is available for the EDM program, as well as social media assets, and web banners.

‘#livelectrified’ Liv e-bike feature/guides

Liv has launched their ‘#livelectrified‘ campaign, featuring useful e-bike guides, tips & tricks. It’s informative, female-focused, and accessible – and might be perfect for female customers of your store looking to get started on an e-bike. You can see the assets here.

Liv Committed’ Liv brand campaign

Liv has launched its 2021 campaign – sticking to the tag line ‘Liv Committed‘. You can see the national EDM here. There are also some great assets on Brandfolder and will also be available as part of the social media program. This is a great call to action for your female community, and get them excited about riding.

It All Starts With A Sound’ Cadex brand campaign

Cadex will soon be launching a slick brand promotion, focussing on the performance road segment. There are EDM content options, social media assets, and web banners available. NOTE – no assets will be released (and no EDMs sent) until this program is officially launched.

Recon lights, back in stock

A simple promotion, highlighting Recon lights being back in stock. You can see the national EDM here. This is ideal if you have good stocks of lights, as we are entering that time of year for light sales.

Trance innovation award

The Trance X Advanced Pro 29 trail bike recently been announced as an annual Design & Innovation Award winner, placing it in elite company. One for the MTB-focussed stores – you can check out the content here.

Maestro Flip Chip

There is now dedicated content available for the Maestro flip chip tech. This might be a nice change of pace from sales promotions, and give an MTB-leaning store something to get their customers excited about.

Create your own major

You can now request your own major content, which will be created for you (pending approval by Giant Australia). This should be, where possible, related to the Giant Group family of brands (although certain exceptions will be granted).

Minor content

Major as minor

You can double-dip here if you like – selecting another one of the major options as your minor (it will be a reduced version of the major). This is an easy way to feature two major pieces of content in one email to get your audience excited. NOTE: you will need to wait until both pieces of content are approved to launch before your EDM can go out. In addition, not all major content options are necessarily available as minor content options.

Ride Like King 13

RLK is back again on Zwift, so everyone can take part. The Ride Like King event celebrates cycling as well as donating bikes to those in need through World Bicycle Relief. This is a great way to engage your community and have some fun together.

Reece Wallace Ride Unleashed feature

Coming soon. In the latest instalment of the Ride Unleashed feature series, Reece Wallace unveils his custom Reign that honours the Search & Rescue services of Canada. The bike looks great – and the video/photos will get your MTB community amped. NOTE – no assets will be released (and no EDMs sent) until this content is officially launched.

CyclingTips Everesting record

Something a little different, the CyclingTips story behind the Giant bike used for the new Everesting world record.

Youn Deniaud Ride Unleashed feature

Some great story-driven content that will resonate with your audience, even if you’re low on stock. You can see the story here.

Marcelo Gutierrez Ride Unleashed feature

Kristian Blummenfelt Cadex signing

Cadex-branded announcement that Cadex has signed 70.3 world record holder Kristian Blummenfelt. You can check out the announcement here. A great choice if you have a strong triathlon community.

Developing the Trance X E+

From Revolution Magazine – a conversation with Joost Bakker, Giant’s global category manager for e-bikes, about how he and the team brought the Trance X E+ to life.

Liv beginner biking guides

Great content for new bike riders (despite being targeted to women) that might help keep your new customers engaged while stock is hard to get. You can see the content available here.

Create your own minor

Request your own minor content, which will be created for you (pending approval by Giant Australia).

Submitting your content choices

Once you have made your selection, please submit your EDM request using this form. If you would like to run with your own content, please remember to provide a little more detail on what you had in mind, and we will take your request to Giant Australia for costing and approval.

Note: You will be required to approve the final campaign (provided as a test EDM) before your campaign can be sent.
